
Parky H. Lau is a licensed psychologist in the province of Ontario, Canada. He holds a doctorate in clinical psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
He currently provides both virtual and in-person services for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia across Ontario (Toronto, Milton, Mississauga, and beyond), Canada.


Dr. Lau presents his first book, The Insomnia Paradox. This book is the culmination of what we know about treatments of insomnia without the use of medication. The strategies presented in this book are derived from research trials and the gold standard treatment of chronic insomnia – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia. Wow. I’ve suffered from life destroying insomnia for 40 years. This book is written so clearly, and explains the concepts of CBT-I so well, that I decided to give CBT-I a shot following the recommendations in this book. My sleep is already much better than it has ever been, and much better than any sleep meds have given me. I highly recommend reading this. It is eye-opening (or more accurately eye-closing :)
